Weekend Get-Away

Well... we had an awesome weekend at Nonnye's house Lubbock! It was our first trip road-tripping alone...we had a few stops on the way up! Austin was good to let me know that the back-seat was too hot at one point, and he was sweating!! The second stop he just needed a little snack.. and the third... well.. I never really figured out what the cry was about, but we managed to get it under control and continue on our way.

While there, Mom kept Austin for a few hours while I had some "me" time. It was very much needed... it's amazing how I took my time for granted pre-baby!

Austin still has a cough and snotty nose. I'm still giving him his medicine. It sounds like he may be getting a little better. The humidifier is on constantly...

Overall the weekend was amazing! It's good to be home and ready for a new week!!

ONE MONTH OLD TODAY!!

Austin is officially one month old today!! I can't believe it.... time has flown by! He is such a good baby! He only cries when he is hungry, wet, or bored.

He is eating every three hours like clock work. I'm lucky to still be successful at breast-feeding. Austin and I have a pretty good system working.

Unfortunatly he has battled some allergy/sinus problems for the past week. I tried the cool mist humidifier...patting the back.... warm bath... steamy bathrooms..... but his cough would not let up. I went ahead and took him to the doctor today just to make sure. She gave me some medicine to help his symptons, but said he was perfectly healthy and the sinus/allergy "crap" just had to run its course. On a lighter note... they took his weight and Austin is now 12 lbs 7 ounces!!! (That's about a pound a week that he is gaining!)
