Flying to Granbury!

Wednesday, October 19, Austin and I flew to Granbury to visit Chrissie and Braylin. It was just too hard to resist since the airfare was only $39.00 through SWA!! Anywho, Austin did great on the plane! This was his second plane ride, and although he was a little more "mobile" than the first time, he did just as well. The stroller was my babysitter until we got to spot where I could let him and watch planes take-off and land. On board, he sat in my lap and ate all the suckers he wanted. We ordered spicy V-8, and played games on my Ipad. He never cried or complained....just got a little concerned when the plane took off. He thought he was falling down...so he held on REAL tight! :)

Once we landed, Chrissie and Braylin were there waiting on us. We loaded up and went straight to the Texas State Fair in Dallas. For better pictures, please visit www.chrissieandjp.blogspot.com

Austin and Braylin saying hello to Big Tex.
The "Baby Train" working our way through the crazy croud at the Fair.
Dallas Arboretum!!! What a BEAUTIFUL place!!! Here's Austin.... losing all concern about his mother...and he LEFT me in the dust....headed straight for...well.... he doesn't know...anything/anywhere besides his mother!!!???
He found some water-spitting frog fountains.

A grove.... the first grove we've ever seen. Don't grow things like this in West Texas. :)

 A real-life pumpkin patch!!! :)
Well, it was suppost to be a real cute family pic.... it is what it is!!! AUSTIN....STOP EATING THE CORN!!!  (we tried)

So the weekend was a BLASSSSSSSSSST!!! My pics don't capture half the fun.... or memories. Example:  that Friday we went to our Nanny's house for lunch. It was so good to see her and Gene. (sorry I didn't bring my camera). My sister's blog captured way more than I was able to...  www.chrissieandjp.blogspot.com    But here's what little I WAS able to capture. It was a weekend to remember for sure. I love EVERY second I get to spend with my sister and beautiful little Niece Braylin!!

Activities in August-

August has come to an end... and as always, it just flew by. These pictures are TOTALLY random, but they capture what crazy activities Austin experianced. I can't believe my baby is 18 months old now!!!!

Here he is with his new Elmo pj's, and you may be able to notice the real Elmo stuffed under his shirt!! :)

So we had a full day at the Barnes Farm!
 Uncle Micheal trimmed Austin's bangs.
THIS IS MY FAVORITE ALL TIME PICTURE OF AUSTIN. He had been playing in the dirt, with the horses, in the water, with the cows...... experiancing the "country" life out at Papa-Joe's. He was the dirtiest little boy.... and he LOVED it!! :)

RAIN RAIN COME OUR WAY!!!!

WE COULDN'T BELIEVE OUR EYES!!! THANK YOU GOD....

When it started to rain we ran outside and watched in awe! Austin couldn't believe water was falling from the sky. This is his first time to really SEE rain, (he was only 3-4 months old last year when we had so many rain days). It was so exciting! He held his baby hands out and let the water hit them.

He got a little braver....so he decided to mow the grass.

When he got all the way out in the open rain, he just froze.... he stood so VERY still....it was one of the funniest things I have ever seen him do. Here's a little video. Enjoy!

16 Month Doctor Visit

The time came again for Austin to have to pay the doctor a little visit...although he had lots of fun playing with the toys in the waiting room, the shots were by far the WORSE so far. He had to get 2 shots in one leg, and 1 shot in the other. I was told to hold him in my lap and squeeze his legs in between mine so he wouldn't move. After the first shot was given, it took all my strength to hold him down for the last 2. He cried and screamed and HATED every second. After it was all said and done, he got a cherry flavored sucker that helped dry those tears up...a little!!

Austin's Report:

*16 months old
* weighed 28 lbs, and 32 inches
*no more bottle, only milk from a sippy cup
*Doctor said he was perfect, and still a BIG boy! :)
