Tummy Time

Play-Date

This was Austin's very first shadow!!! It was nice outside so we looked at trees and such! :)

Kaycee Johns brought her baby Sawyer over for a play-date!! He was born a day before Austin... I believe Austin may be a little bigger?? Even though Austin decided to snooze the WHOLE time he was here, we had a good time!

Austin almost crushed poor lil Sawyer in during this picture!!

2 Month Shots Day :(

Today was a sad day in Austin's World..... his turn to receive his 2 month shots!! I had anxiety about it all night long, and finally the day came. He woke up in SUCH a wonderful mood- he smiled, ate breakfast, took bath... smiled even more... it made me feel even worse about what I knew was to come!

At the doctor's office he had an amazing check-up though. Doctor said he was a "big-boy" to say the least, but perfectly healthy!! He is totally on breast-milk for now (every three hours... or longer when he can last) and when he turns 4 months we can start him on rice cereal. His weight was 15 lbs 10 ounces and 24 inches in length !!

Three of the immunizations were administered by mouth in a thick, sweet medicine, and the other three were by injection. The first injection he cried for just a second, but was able to be soothed with his pappi, and the other two weren't so good. His bottom lip came out... he got as red as a hot tamale... and he started SCREAMING!!! He cried all the way home! It was over though, and no matter how bad it hurt it was nothing a little breast-milk meal couldn't soothe!! :)

It's 6:30pm and so far he's been handling it okay. He's been on tylenol every 5 hrs and been able to take a nap. I'm not sure... but now I'm beginning to feel that it was worse for me than it was for him!! It's apart of life though... so ROUND ONE WE ARE DONE!! :)

Up and Down

Mark decided to have knee surgery on the 9th of this month. His recovery has been hard and painful...his knee has had to be hooked up to machine that keeps it in motion (up and down and up and down) so... SOMETIMES Austin finds a comfy spot on Dad and catches a ride with the motion of the machine. It's been a JOY taking care of 2 helpless baby boys. :) haha

Mommy & Baby Pilates

So... I have really been wanting to get this post-baby body in shape, and Mom found a DVD called Mommy and Baby Pilates at Target! We tried it out today, and BOY OH BOY was it fun! It really gave me, as well as Austin a work out. The exercises let you use the weight of your baby (which I believe I'm ahead of the game with Austin weighing in around 15-16 lbs!) doing *baby dumb-bells, push-up kisses... abs... thighs... bum... ect.

The video lasts around 50 minutes... so Austin had had enough as when got the end. He started screaming... the literally fell asleep while I was doing some baby-crunches!

Austin was laying on the carpet sucking his pacifier or "pappi". LOVE LOVE LOVE this baby!! I WILL make a better one if this turns out to be a success!
